2 Day Year 8 & 9: Capable Leadership Foundations
Join us for our intensive, science-backed school holiday program for young adults in Year 8 and 9.
Where: CERES (Brunswick East)
When: Mon 28 Sept and Tuesday 29 Sept (9 am - 4 pm).
What:
Day One — Self
Figure out what actually makes you you. You'll map your strengths, your values, and the stuff that quietly drives you (plus the blind spots you can't see yet) — so you leave knowing yourself well enough to lead yourself, before you ever try to lead anyone else.
The science behind it: VIA Character Strengths · PERMA · Emotional Intelligence · Johari Window
Day Two — Others & World
Turn who you are into what you do. You'll pick up real skills for connecting with people, and set a personal goal that actually matters to you — then learn how to make a plan and drive real change, instead of just hoping things happen.
The science behind it: COM-B Model · Self-Determination Theory · Science of Persuasion
After our two days together, you will have:
More confidence in who you are and what you’re capable of.
The ability to work well with others and build a community of support.
A rough plan, for the mark you want to make in the world.
A cohort of like-minded young adults eager to make a difference.
Booking/Cancellation Policy
We understand that sometimes plans change, people get sick, life throws a curveball. If you need to cancel your spot in one of our programs, here's how we'll handle it:
More than 14 days before the program starts — you'll get a full refund
Between 8 and 14 days before the program starts — we can refund 50% of what you paid
7 days or less before the program starts — unfortunately, we're not able to offer a refund. By this point we've locked in venues, ordered materials, and confirmed our facilitator team, so the costs are already committed
To cancel, just email us at hello@capableeducation.com.au and let us know. We'll confirm your cancellation and get any refund moving.
If we cancel the program
In the rare case that we need to cancel a program ourselves — whether that's low enrolment, illness in our team, or something outside our control — we'll refund you in full.
Transferring your spot
Can't make it but know another teen who'd love to come? Get in touch — we're usually happy to transfer your spot to another child, as long as we know before the program starts and they meet the age group.
